There is something forlorn and somber about British seaside towns in the winter. My intention is not to take away the glory days of summer with the bustling holiday makers - but winter creates a counterpoint.
Some would say they are depressing, but I think not, I think they create an almost surreal sculpture on the land.
So we will journey through the seaside towns of Britain in the winter - the ‘down’ season.
